RefZone Explained
RefZone aims to help decrease the impact of the football referee shortage in Australia by encouraging more to join the football refereeing community and helping to decrease the reasons that referees leave the sport. RefZone also provides information and a community to help support referees and keep referees in the sport.
How does RefZone Do this?
Through the use of social media and relationships, RefZone promotes football refereeing and encourages more people to become referees who then encourage more people to become referees. This knock on effect is how RefZone operates. RefZone also provides people with facts about the shortage of referees to help them better understand what they can do to help decrease the impact of the football referee shortage.
RefZone has been a work in progress since April of 2023. It was first thought of as a way to get more people to become referees for the football community. It has since evolved into an organisation that aims to support referees by providing information for referees on this website, as well as encouraging others to join the football referee community. It has taken more than a year to build and will take years of work to achieve its goal.
